Serendipitously, I guess, I am trying to recall this program at the right time. I see that on this day "what we were enduring" was a tedious and stupid political argument about whether the incarcerated should have the right to vote. (They should.) And now, in the sweltering heat of a July that is surely cooler than any we will see in the future, I am compelled to think about "carceral logic," how it affects me, whether I embrace it, etc. It's been a wild ride at "theory camp" this year.

I would say I deserve "congratulations" somewhere on the spectrum of irony for managing to get three months behind in my postings, which is a record. What can I say? Life intrudes. We're trying to buy a house, and I am trying to be good at the things in my life that don't involve radio, for once. And I am also trying to sleep.
