Smokin' 'Em While I Got 'Em: Transmission 202, 2015 May 5

The first Bombastic hours of May were near-perfect, and here is the evidence. Execution trumped segues on this night, although there were a couple of nice moments. I'm finding Medway nights difficult in this regard; I am sure that somewhere in these archives I have wondered "aloud" whether that was a sign of greatness. I begin to doubt that it is, but Childish & co. do not need me to certify them.
As a seeming influx of djs, coupled with my increasing reluctance to do late nights, diminishes the frequency of my transmissions I have time to reflect on things. This week I turn to my own schtick. Last time out I said that I impress myself; despite that being a change of pace and a much-needed affirmation, I will point out some areas where I make myself tired. (a) Not Remembering, e.g. the innumerable "something must have gone wrong, but I don't recall what it was" / "this program was so long ago the details are lost on me" excuses. It's not cute. No one cares. (b) Honoring Mistakes As a Sign of Liveness: ugh, you're not John Peel, son, tighten up your game. (c) Threatening to Quit Over Some Radio Drama. "Don't you ever quit," a wise person told me very early in this adventure, and she was right. If I quit, the cocks win. They might do so anyway, but they'll have to kill me.
Here's hoping we see no more of that.
