"We've been further behind in the past than we are now," I said during a recent broadcast, "if that makes sense." I'm not sure. Nevertheless our attempt to catch up with ourselves continues. Two weeks now.

As our unintentional flirtation with a post-Physical Evidence world proceeds, one episode seems to blend into another. It seems, on the surface, to be mere soup, or "trail mix," or whatever you want to call it. And yet as I ease into recordings such as this one I feel I am in good hands. "Who is this selector?
